The maiden edition of the Ghana Auto Awards (GAA) bestowed on Toyota Ghana two prestigious awards: the 2015 Brand of the year and the Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company in the auto industry.
The awards, organized by Xodus Communications, with the Ghana Automobile Distributors Association (GADA) as partners, was designed to provide consumers with sound, comparative information on vehicles that are new on the market by selecting the best new vehicles in various categories.
The Events Director of the GAA, Mr. Richard Abbey Jnr, said the award was meant to develop a buyer guide for automobile buyers and enthusiasts in the country. He promised a much better event next year.
In a speech that touched on safety on the country\\\'s roads and the government’s efforts to improve transport in the country, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Mrs Joyce Bawa Mogtari, said the Ministry\\\'s vision was not just to create an environment where new cars were affordable, but also to improve public transport and make it more reliable and efficient
The Public Relations Manager of Toyota Ghana, Ms. Ama Orleans Lindsay, receiving the awards on behalf of the company expressed appreciation to the organisers and the jury for adjudging Toyota Ghana the best in two of the most prestigious categories and dedicated them to our loyal customers and hardworking staff.
