 Toyota Ghana Co. Ltd. has appointed Mr. Takahiko Takabayashi as the new Managing Director.
He takes over from Mr. Masato Kimata. Mr. Takabayashi's appointment takes effect from April 21st, 2010.
Born in April 1962, Mr. Takabayashi joins Toyota Ghana with a wealth of experience acquired over 24years in the field of work.
Mr. Takabayashi joined Marubeni Corporation (the shareholders of Toyota Ghana) in 1986 after graduating from the Tokyo University of Agriculture & Technology
as a staff of the Vehicles Dept at the Tokyo Head office in Japan. Two years later, he joined the Europe, Africa & Middle East section, and then
the Marubeni Machinery & Engineering Corporation in 1991.
In 1992, Mr. Takabayashi was posted to the Marubeni Office in Kenya, Nairobi. He returned to Japan to join the Marubeni Auto Sales Corporation in 1997.
Due to his diligence, commitment and dedication to duty, Mr. Takabayashi was promoted to manage the Asia & Oceania Section of the
Automotive & Construction Machinery Dept of the Tokyo Office in 2002. A year later, he moved to Iran to manage Marubeni Iran Company Limited.
In 2007, Mr. Takabayashi gained another promotion by dint of hard work, and became the General Manager of Europe, Africa & Middle East Team, Automotive Dept at the Tokyo Head Office.
In 2009, he assumed sole responsibility for the Middle East Team of the Automotive Dept until his appointment as the Managing Director of Toyota Ghana Co. Ltd.
