In order to strengthen our relationship with and acknowledge the contribution of our mining customers to our tremendous growth, Toyota Ghana has again sponsored a Golf Tournament in Tarkwa.
In all about 60 amateur golfers participated in the game. At the end of the game winners were given prizes such as double door fridges, deep freezers, cookware, microwave ovens, blenders, washing machines, gas cookers, etc.
The men’s trophy was won by the Club Captain of Goldfields, Mr. Mike Sackey, while that of the ladies’ was lifted by Madam Rosemond Coggin of Tarkwa. Other prizes won included longest drive, closest to the pin and boggy.
In his presentation, the MD of Toyota Ghana, Mr. Masato Kimata, congratulated the winners for displaying such skillfulness on the golf course. He assured the miners of Toyota Ghana’s continuous support in providing quality and reliable vehicles suitable for their terrain.
The GM of Goldfields, Mr. Peter Turner expressed his appreciation to Toyota Ghana for sponsoring this year’s tournament and pleaded with Toyota Ghana to make it an annual affair.
Toyota Ghana also made a cash donation of GHS 1,500 to the Golf Club.
