In its quest to support education generally and particularly encourage reading, Toyota Ghana sponsored a quiz contest organized by Readwide at Miklin Hotel Kumasi. This contest was organized to enhance the reading habits and abilities of students in our various educational institutions, and improve their understanding of the English language.
Some of the areas competed included spelling, reading skills, comprehension & summaries, definitions, synonyms & antonyms, error identification, etc.
A total of 28 high schools in Ghana participated in the competition. At the end of it all, Cambridge International and Vicande Schools emerged winners, thus qualifying for the finals which would be held in January 2010.
