In collaboration with its Authorized Service Shop in Ho, Gerco Auto Ventures, Toyota Ghana has organized a Spare Parts Anti-Counterfeit campaign seminar for its customers in the Ho Municipality.
The seminar, which took place at the Hotel Stevens, was designed to create awareness of the influx and dangers associated with the use of imitation parts on the market, and also to assure participants of the availability of genuine Toyota parts in all Toyota Ghana branches and Authorized Service Shops.
In his opening remarks, the General Manager of Gerco Auto Ventures, Mr. Mator Gakpetor, welcomed the participants to the conference. He gave an overview of Gerco’s operations and the facilities they have availed at their workshop for the satisfaction of their customers’ service needs. He assured participants of the provision of the same quality service known to be delivered by Toyota Ghana.
The Branch Manager for Tema, Mr. Peter Asante, took the participants through Toyota Ghana’s obligation to the customer - that is, to provide them with the best Vehicle life and ownership experience, expanded Service Network and the technical support to all Toyota Ghana Authorised Service Shops (TGASS).
In his presentation, Mr. Amankrah-Otabir of the National Parts Department intimated that the producers of counterfeit spare parts have become so sophisticated in their trade that it is increasingly becoming extremely difficult to differentiate genuine parts from counterfeit ones. He further cautioned that non Genuine Spare Parts might be the same in appearance but the quality of hidden internal components may be totally ineffective.
At the end of the seminar, participants expressed their appreciation for the provision of a forum to enlighten them on Toyota after-sales support as well as the opportunity to satisfactorily address their concerns.
