TOYOTA GHANA DONATES TO THE KORLE-BU TEACHING HOSPITAL

As a responsible corporate citizen interested in improving the lives of Ghanaians with respect to their health, Toyota Ghana has donated two (2) Patient Monitors worth GH¢9000 to the Korle-bu Plastic Surgery & Reconstruction Center and a cheque of GH¢3000 to the Ghana Heart Foundation.

In presenting the package to the hospital, the MD of Toyota Ghana, Mr. Takahiko Takabayashi said he was happy to assist the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in its quest to solicit for logistics as published in the Daily Graphic recently. He added that “we believe that this hospital needs all the support it can get to enable it meet the health demands of not only the ever increasing Ghanaian population, but also all foreigners who travel long distances to access their services”. He congratulated the Ghana Heart Foundation for assisting needy patients with fifty percent of the high cost of heart surgeries and called on all corporate bodies and individuals to support the activities of the foundation.

The Director of the Plastic Surgery & Reconstruction Center, Dr. Opoku-Ware Ampomah, expressed his appreciation to Toyota Ghana for their continuous support to the Korle-bu Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction Center. He said the monitors will help save more lives and also strengthen the trust people have in the Center. He appealed for more support from other institutional bodies to enable the hospital meet the requisite standard befitting its status as the premium hospital in the country.
