ARTHRITIS PATIENT RECEIVES SUPPORT

With Health being one of the core areas Toyota Ghana supports with regards, to Corporate Social Responsibilities, management of Toyota Ghana agreed to support an individual who needs urgent medical attention. The patient, Ms. Josephine Agbemafle has been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and has been paralysed for the past 15 years. She needs to undergo an implant surgery to repair her hips at a cost her family and friends are not able to bare alone. They therefore called on Toyota Ghana for financial assistance. Presenting a cheque of GHS10,000 to Ms. Agbemafle, the Executive Director of Toyota Ghana, Dr. Eric Dako revealed that Toyota Ghana believes a healthy nation is a winning nation. If the health of Ghanaians is improved, it will go a long way to develop the country. He added that, it is due to this drive of the company in the area of health that led management to agree to heed to the patient’s plea for support. He expressed the belief that the support provided would be applied to assist her regain her health. Receiving the cheque, Ms Agbemafle beaming with smiles of hope expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Toyota Ghana for being the only company who has heard her cry for help since she started soliciting for funds. She assured management that the money will definitely be used for its intended purpose. Her family and friends were present to show their appreciation to Toyota Ghana as well.
